Abu Dhabi Motors continues to break records with more than 14,000 BMW and MINI’s sold in 2015.

36% sales growth marks fitting end to 30th anniversary celebrations - Abu Dhabi Motors remains number one BMW Group importer in the region.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Motors, BMW Group’s most successful importer in the Middle East, has once again broken records with 14,100 BMW and MINI vehicles delivered to customers in 2015, representing a 36% sales growth over the previous year. Abu Dhabi Motors’ stellar year-end results are a culmination of 12 months of celebrations, in which the company marked its 30th year as BMW Group’s official importer in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

This approach has been instrumental in making us the most successful BMW Group importer in the region.”

 

The importer’s impressive performance was largely driven by sales of the BMW brand’s top-of-the-range X model family, including the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle that alone sold 7,274 cars, while the BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupé saw 2,465 delivered to customers. 

 

Comprising the BMW X6, X5, X4, X3, the range recently added the all-new BMW X1 to its stable. With its significantly increased space for both passengers and luggage, a cutting-edge premium ambience and functionality grounded in solid engineering, the second generation model is expected to bolster the range’s success. 

 

Arno Husselmann continued: “The X family has continued to be a favorite in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and meets the high expectations of our customers. The recently launched BMW X1 will help us further strengthen and broaden our X family product offering and contribute to our continued success as the number one X model seller in the region.”

 

Another best-selling model was the BMW 5 Series, with 1,023 vehicles delivered to customers in 2015. The ultimate business vehicle, the BMW 5 Series has a success story that goes back decades. Sporty, elegant and confident, and not to mention extremely future-orientated, it is consistently amongst Abu Dhabi Motors’ top-sellers. 

 

MINI also saw strong growth with Abu Dhabi Motors’ sales of the brand increasing by 32%. The most popular model was the MINI Countryman – the first MINI with optional ALL4 All-wheel drive making it ideal for tackling both urban and off-road terrains – Another contributor was the all-new MINI Hatch, with both the 3 and 5 door options contributing to the 450 MINI sales in 2015.

 

 “These great results are the benchmark to exceed in 2016. We will continue to exceed expectations and build on the previous year’s success. Going into 2016 we will see the recently launched all-new BMW 7 Series enter its first full year on sale, with new never-before-seen technology and a new design we can already see at big impact it will have in the premium segment market. We will also see the MINI Clubman and MINI Convertible enter the UAE market. These great products, in addition to our exceptional customer experience, will continue to garner the highest customer satisfaction scores, with this year a case in point. We achieved 97% satisfaction sales score for 2015 and a phenomenal year average of 97.7% for Aftersales customer satisfaction, the highest in the GCC .” concluded Husselmann,

 

In 2015, Abu Dhabi Motors upgraded the BMW Service Inclusive + Repair package, the most comprehensive service package in the industry, covering service, repair and maintenance. BMW service inclusive plus repairs for 8 years and/or 160,000 km, and BMW repairs inclusive 6 years and/or 200m000 km’s, Which increases the customer benefit exponentially and offers them an extremely low cost of ownership experience, which benefits the customer further with a higher resale value of their car and accurate budgeting.
