MINI SCOOTER E CONCEPT

Four wheels good, two wheels … just as good − if you're on the MINI Scooter E Concept, that is. All the electrifying sensations that only MINI can offer and with CO2 emissions of precisely … 0 g/km.

ALL CHARGED UP. & READY TO ROLL.

The MINI Scooter E Concept guarantees sustainability, lifestyle and sportiness in one − yet in different variants. For people who want to go it alone, there's the sporty one-seat version while those who prefer to maximise the amount of on-road fun per head can take the two-seat model, which offers space for a pillion passenger.

The one-seat version reflects the brand's origins, with British Racing Green paintwork and a brown leather seat, while the two-seater is designed in matt anthracite with yellow trims, in deference to the MINI E. A third version, in white, was devised in recognition of the scootering tradition in Great Britain.

DESIGN.

THAT INIMITABLE MINI LOOK.

Despite only having half the number of wheels of a MINI, there's something about the MINI Scooter E Concept that recalls its four-wheeled counterpart. In fact, there are a whole load of things: the upright windshield with grille-like aperture, the extra-large round headlight, the customisation possibilities for the mirror caps, the abundance of chrome, the Center Rail; even the hand grip for the pillion passenger on the two-seater version has a spoiler-like touch to it. And the driving fun − or, in this case, riding fun − is, of course, as unrivalled as ever.

COMMUNICATION.

HANDS-FREE VERSATILITY.

A snap-in adapter turns the rider's smartphone into an ignition key, display and central control element all in one. While the scooter is in motion, the phone can be used as a sat-nav, music player and telephone.

POWER TRAIN.

SENSATIONS STRAIGHT FROM THE SOCKET.

It's not just the colour scheme of the two-seater MINI Scooter E Concept that's identical to the MINI E four-wheeler. It's also the zero-emission electric drive unit, powered by a lithium-ion battery. Although, "identical" is not strictly true. Whereas the MINI E four-wheeler currently requires special charging stations, the MINI Scooter E Concept can be topped up using any conventional domestic socket − with the charging system and cable stored snugly at the rear, alongside the battery.
